Scotts® Grub B Gon® should be applied in spring or late summer to control grubs during different life stages. In the spring, grubs move closer to the surface to feed on the roots of your lawn before forming adult beetles. In the summer, new grub eggs hatch and begin feeding on your grass roots before tunneling down before winter.
Although there’s no wrong answer to this, you’ll see the best results around early November. Since it contains slow-release nutrients, a late application allows you to get the most during the winter months and will give you better chance of seeing a spring green-up and maintaining healthy turf.
